Pilates-based exercise
More than 80% of the adult population suffer from low back pain at some time in their lives and their work and quality of life may suffer as a result.
Non-specific low back pain is defined as tension, soreness, and/or stiffness in the lower back region, back pain for which your medical practitioner has not been able to identify a specific cause for.
If your doctor, physiotherapist, osteopath, or chiropractor refers you to a Back4Good practitioner you can have total peace of mind that you are being taught by a qualified professional. An in-depth enrolment process will ensure that you gain the maximum benefit from the 8 week structured exercise programme.
The key difference between the Back4Good programme and the Pilates4Good classes is that in the Back4Good programme you will learn how to manage your own back pain relief.
Additionally, your movements of daily activity will be assessed, analysing where possible which movements cause the pain, and prescribing a movement programme that helps you to control these painful activities.
The eight week programme is carefully paced to gradually progress you, making you stronger and better able to cope with your work and daily activities. Hopefully too, your back pain levels will be reduced.
Every little bit of exercise helps, so you also are encouraged to develop a "Get Active" programme to run in tandem with the Back4Good classes.
